David
is a graduate of Dominican College where he pursued a triple major
graduating in three and a half years, was active in college and
community theater, was president of Lambda lota Tau literary honor
society and lettered in varsity cross country. He attended law
school at Southern Illinois University and at the University of
Colorado. While at SIU he spent a year working with the prison
legal aid program, was a charter member of the Stephen A. Douglas
Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and later served as
a Chapter Justice. Mr. Stjern is a member of the Illinois Bar
Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is
a certified intervenor with the Lawyers Assistance Program of
the Illnois State Bar Associaiton.
David
concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury with
an emphasis on car, truck and motorcycle collisions, premises
liability, medical negligence, wrongful death, and uninsured motorist
arbitrations. He has numerous jury verdicts and significant settlements
to his credit. He also maintains an active probate practice including
decedent's estates, guardianships and appellate practice. Mr.
Stjern is admitted to practice in the States of Illinois and Wisconsin
as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
