Patrick James Smith received a B.S. in mathematics from Lewis University, Lockport, Illinois and a Juris Doctor from IIT-Chicago, Kent College of Law, Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Smith was admitted to practice in United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit of Appeals. Before coming to Springfield, Mr. Smith was employed by Amoco Oil Company, formerly Standard Oil Company of Indiana. Mr. Smith started with Delano Law Offices, P.C. in May of 1976. Mr. Smith concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, business organizations, domestic relations, estate planning and probate.
